The First Firefighting Robot In America Is Here And ItHas Already Helped Fight A Major Fire In Los Angeles

There’s now a firefighting robot and it’s already been used to fight a major fire in Los Angeles.  
The Thermite RS3 was scheduled to arrive at a news conferenc the morning of October 13th but it was diverted to a major emergency structure fire in the fashion district in Downtown LA earlier that day.
The Los Angeles Fire Department is the first in the nation to add a robotic firefighting vehicle to its fleet.
The roughly $277,000 purchase was made by a non-profit organization that supports the department.
