'Rarest Baseball Card in the World' Sells Fora Record $7.25 Million

A baseball card considered the "rarest in the world"has sold for millions.

The 1909-1911 T-206 card of Pittsburgh Pirates legend HonusWagner was purchased for $7.25 million--  the most expensive card ever tobe sold.There are less than 50 authenticated T-206 Wagner cards.Goldin Auctions saidthat the previous sale record for a T-206 Wagner card was $6.6 million.As aplayer, Wagner won the National League batting title eight times and a WorldSeries title.In 1936, the shortstop was one of the first five baseball playersto be elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
