Father And Son 3D Printing Their Own Lamborghini
A father and son in Colorado are 3D printing their own Lamborghini.
They decided they wanted their own sportscar while playing a racing game. So instead of buying one which starts at $400,000, they decided to 3D print one.
They’ve been working on it for over a year, creating dozens of plastic body pieces, which they wrap in carbon fiber for added strength and heat resistance before they attach them to a spaceframe.
The car uses a few authentic Lamborghini parts they mostly picked up used, but will be powered by a mid-mounted V8 from a 2003 Corvette that drives the rear wheels through a Porsche 911 transmission.
