Last week, a 20-year-old man was attacked by a shark in Kauai -- less than a year after he was attacked by a black bear in Colorado, and three years ago he was bitten by a rattlesnake in Utah.He was on his boogie board and was find after he caught his first wave. He headed back out and another wave knocked him off his board in 15 feet of water about 30 yards from shore. That’s when he felt the searing pain in his right calf. He started to panic because he didn’t know if he lost part of his leg. He looked below him and say a 6 to 8 foot tiger shark and gave it a kick before swimming to shore. When he got to shore he called for help and sat on the beach with his leg dripping with blood. Paramedics arrived, but he turned dow the ride to the hospital and a woman volunteered to take him. He ended up getting 7 stitches.
