The Volkswagen Beetle Will Soon Be Squashed

Volkswagen is getting rid of the Beetle.  The automaker’s head of research and development confirmed that the brand’s iconic compact car will not be replaced when the current model ends production. Volkswagen relaunched the Beetle in 1997 after not making the car for 17-years.  The latest model has been on sale since 2012, and the automaker didn’t say when that version will stop being made.
