Cops in Chesapeake, Virginia handed out turkeys instead of ticketsduring traffic stops last week to spread holiday cheer.Police pulleddrivers over who had small infractions such as a broken tail light or expiredregistration. The drivers received the turkey as long as they promised to getthe violation fixed.The officers passed out 100 turkeys andhope the act will be a step towards building a better relationship with thetown.
