ATLANTA — The Braves and Phillies are rivals on thediamond, but the love of baseball connects the teams and their fans.
Nothing displayed that better than the sign ofsportsmanship between a young Phillies fan and Braves fan this weekend.DuringFriday night’s home opener at Truist Park, the reigning MVP Freddie Freemancrushed a home run. Joshua, a Phillies fan, ended up with the ball after acouple of tries and some teasing from his dad.
Instead of keeping it or throwing it back though, Joshuadecided to share it with a young Braves fan wearing a Freeman jersey. It’s amoment that touched everyone’s hearts, especially Freeman’s.So before Sundaynight’s game, Freeman decided to surprise Joshua and his dad, with a baseballnot only autographed by him, but by Phillies star Bryce Harper as well.
