Homecoming Queen Candidates Ditch Heels To ShowSupport For Epileptic Classmate
A group of South Carolinahigh school students competing for homecoming queen recently ditched theirheels in a show of support for another contender.
One of the students was supposed to walk during a football game last Fridayalong with other girls, but the student had suffered a seizure.
The student, who has epilepsy and has Down syndrome, had somewhatrecovered by the time the girls were supposed to hit the field, but she feltuneasy wearing heels.
Instead of her feeling like the oddball, every single girl on thehomecoming court took their shoes off too.
The student was then crowned homecoming queen in front of her peers.
