Man Used Riding Mower as Getaway Vehicle in 2 Crimes

A man used a riding mower as a getaway vehicle after breaking into agarage, Waterloo, Iowa.Surveillancevideo shows the 54-year-old man holding the loot from the garage while struggling to keep the John Deere mower on course as he headed home.Thatsame night, the man also allegedly took a $43 bottle of Absolut Vodka from aconvenience store.
The man was arrested for third-degree burglary, fifth-degree theft and drivingwhile barred. Bond was set at $7,500.
