‘Smart Toilet’ Scans Poop as it’s Flushed, Checks forHealth

People can monitor their digestive health thanksto a high-tech toilet that studies their poop as it gets flushed down thedrain.
Scientists at Duke University say the “Smart Toilet” can be fittedwithin the pipes of an existing toilet and snaps a picture of a person’s poopwhen they flush.An algorithm then determines whether the movement isloose, normal or constipated, and whether it contains any blood.The data couldhelp doctors keep track of their patients’ bowel movements and provide bettertreatment.
