Scientists Predict Above Average Hurricane Season In 2020
Scientists are predicting a more active than normal hurricane season in the Atlantic this year.
The researchers say the 2020 hurricane season will see 18 to 22 named storms, which is higher than both the long-term (11) and short-term(14) averages.
Of those named storms, eight to 11 may grow strong enough to become hurricanes.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th.
