Socialmedia can actually contribute to depression and trauma during the coronavirusoutbreak.
Researchers looked at 320 people during thepandemic who took an online survey to see how they retrieved and shared healthinformation with their family, friends, and co-workers on social media.
They found that social media use was rewarding upto a point, as it provided informational, emotional and peer support related toCOVID-19 health topics.
But toomuch social media use led to mental health issues including depression andtrauma.
