Toddler Drives Battery-Powered Tractor to County Fair
A two-and-a-half year old from Rush City,Minnesota decided to take his battery powered John Deere tractor to the countyfair without asking his parents.
Dispatchers got a call about a missing child and deputies found him a fewminutes later in the middle of the fair grounds.
As it turns out the toddler lives near the fairgrounds, and he had seenthe rides going up over the previous few days. When the fair opened he wasexcitedand decided to check things out by himself.
The police sergeant said the little guy drove his tractor down the sidewalk,through a back gate and then navigated a heavy crowd that was there for the motocrossraces, finally arriving at his chosen destination: The Tilt-a-Whirl.
After the boy was found, and reunited with his dad, his driving privileges wereimmediately suspended. His dad removed the battery from the tractor.
