A pair of Mainers have hidden $20,000 somewhere in the state and they'reinviting treasure seekers to come and get it.

The creators of the Dirigo treasure hunt spent three yearsexploring and photographing locations around the state before creating anelaborate hide-and-seek game.
Finding the Dirigo treasure will involve solving a secret, a riddle and apuzzle. Getting started means ponying up for a deck of cards or flashcards for $19.99 or $39.99.
According to their Facebook page: ”Seven Dirigo stones will help youfind it. A beautiful Maine playing card set & a map manual to uncover cluesthat reveal the location of the treasure!”

The couple ensured that the quest for the hidden treasure is legal, ethical andenvironmentally responsible.
