Eating cold pizza for breakfast may be healthier than having a bowl of cereal. It’s got protein, carbs, and it may even have vegetables. Studies have found that America’s cereal options are lacking good nutrition. There’s rarely protein, healthy fats, or anything but spoonfuls of sugar in cereal these days. Dietician Chelsea Amer said, “You may be surprised to find out that an average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories.” She said, “However, pizza packs a much larger protein punch, which will keep you full and boost satiety throughout the morning.” She said that while pizza isn’t a health food, it’s usually a more balanced meal when compared with a bowl of sugar flakes.
