A monster asteroid the size of the Empire State Building is set to fly past Earth this morning at a speed of 14,092 miles per hour. The asteroid is expected to pass within 900,000 miles of Earth around 7:53am (EST). Since the asteroid is about to have a close encounter with Earth, NASA classifies it as 'potentially hazardous’, but at the same time, says there's no possibility that it will hit the Earth. Thanks to the virtual telescope project, people all over the world will be able to see the skyscraper-sized asteroid zoom past the earth using a live webcast.
