Today's RECALL... 12M Pounds of Tyson Chicken Strips
Tyson had recalled 70,000 pounds of frozen chicken strips back in March, now the company is recalling 11.8 million pounds of the strips.
According to the Department of Agriculture, the frozen chicken "may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically pieces of metal.”
The affected chicken was produced at different times between Oct. 1, 2018, and March 8 of this year, with "use by" dates between Oct. 1, 2019, and March 7, 2020. Packaging will have a "P-7221" establishment number imprinted on it.
The USDA says they are "aware of six complaints involving similar pieces of metal with three alleging oral injury.”
