Kangaroo Named Jack Captured by Police... in Florida

A runaway kangaroo was spotted hopping around the streets of Fort Lauderdaleyesterday.
The police were receiving calls about the wild animal roamingneighborhood streets.

Turns out, the kangaroo, whose name is Jack, belongs to a Florida man. Hesaid the kangaroo is 2 years old and harmless.
It took a lot of manpower to get Jack in custody. Several police unitswere needed to surround and capture the kangaroo. They eventually gothim into the back of a police car.
Police say Jack won't be returned to his owner because the city isn’t zoned forkangaroos.

Jack is being turned over to the South Florida Wildlife Center.
